Life breaks us,
shatters us into pieces,
and then we re-member—
becoming as whole as we can,
risking our hearts.
That's why we're here.
We practiced kintsugi in community, with openness, vulnerability, and gentleness. Everyone participated in their own way. For some, it was a relaxing time with others in a beautiful setting. For others, the practice opened space for reflection on experiences of loss, change, and healing.
The bowl in our hands could not repair itself. Someone gathered the pieces. Someone prepared the glue. Someone held the fragments together while the bond formed. Someone waited.
Perhaps that someone was the you who is still becoming.
Sometimes, as in this moment, we literally held the broken pieces together. Wholeness was co-created.
