Kintsugi pottery repair with gold, representing healing, growth, and becoming whole

Kintsugi: The Art of Becoming Whole

What breaks you can also make you whole.  Join a guided journey on healing, repair, and growth.

Every break tells a story worth keeping

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold, treating breakage as part of an object's history rather than something to hide. This journey reframes personal setbacks the same way, as seams worth honoring.

Reflections before you begin

The Course

Early Bird

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by joining the pieces and illuminating the cracks with gold. In this five-module course, we will draw upon kintsugi as an art form and explore it as a metaphor for healing in body, mind, and spirit. To re-member is to bring together parts of ourselves that have been broken, lost, rejected, or forgotten.

Through reflection, storytelling, and shared practice, we will consider how failure can become a teacher, imperfection a source of beauty, and brokenness part of—rather than an obstacle to—wholeness. We will discover that healing does not mean returning to who we once were, but becoming more fully who we are.

This is not a course about hiding our wounds or making suffering beautiful. It is an invitation to gather the scattered pieces of our lives, honor what they have taught us, and become whole—not as we once were, but as we are now. More than repairing what is broken, kintsugi teaches us how to re-member who we are.

You will leave with a deeper understanding of your own life story, practices for meeting imperfection and change with greater compassion, and new ways of finding meaning in what has been broken, lost, or transformed.
